Successful Completion of Maersk Drilling’s MODU Deliverer Drill Rig Coatings

Altrad Services has successfully completed Blast and Painting services on the Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) Maersk Deliverer for Maersk Drilling.

Located in the Ichthys Field, Timor Sea and built in 2010, the Maersk Deliverer is an ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig able to operate in water depths up to 10,000ft.

Altrad Services’ scope of services included Ultra High Pressure (UHP) surface preparation, sand blast and paint application on various areas of the deck and storage representing approximative 600m2.

Utilising the UHP mower and vacuum recovery system allows for a clean surface with minimal reliance on UHP gun work. Our approach ensured compliance with environmental standards with rust & paint scale/debris recovered and contained within our vacuum bin.
