Compaction tools

Compaction is designed to improve the quality of ground for construction by reducing deformation, decreasing soil permeability and undesirable volume variations, and increasing the bearing capacity of the soil.

The main compactors are the rammer, the vibrating plate and the smooth roller; Altrad offers each of these tools. To choose the right compactor, the working area (width, slope), the tool (vibration, centrifugal power) and the size of the job to be carried out must be taken into account. You can choose between:
• Forward plates
• Reversible plates
• Rammers
• Twin-Drum rollers
